Three Ouachita seniors intern for U.S. 森. Boozman

Three students from Ouachita Baptist University completed a five-week congressional internship for U.S. 森. John Boozman this summer. Noah Sanders, a senior political science and Christian studies double major from Little Rock, Ark., and Sarah Spakes, a senior political science and public history double major from Benton, Ark., interned in Boozman’s Washington, D.C., office while Kathryn Totty, a senior political science and communications & media double major from Camden, Ark., interned in Boozman’s El Dorado office.

Dr. Kevin C. "Casey" Motl named dean of Ouachita's Sutton School of Social Sciences

Dr. Kevin C. “Casey” Motl, the R. Voyt Hill Chair of History at Ouachita Baptist University, has been named dean of the university’s William H. Sutton School of Social Sciences. The Sutton School houses Ouachita’s departments of History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

Rigsby chosen to lead Ouachita's new criminal justice degree program


Dr. 马尔科姆·L. Rigsby has been named professor of criminology and criminal justice and coordinator of the criminal justice program at Ouachita Baptist University. He brings more than 20 years’ teaching and research experience in higher education to the post, as well as a background in banking, private 法律 practice and private-owned business.

Ouachita adds undergrad programs in pre-counseling, Christian foundations

Ouachita Baptist University has approved new undergraduate degree pathways for fall 2022 to better support students seeking to pursue careers that invest in others. Ouachita faculty members approved the curriculum changes in a March 8 meeting; changes included adding a pre-counseling program of study, a Christian foundations co-major and new clinical and human services emphases within the community and family services major.

Ouachita's Public History program presents cemetery care workshop 4月2日

Ouachita Baptist University’s Public History program will present a free, hands-on preservation workshop Saturday, 4月2日, 从早上9点开始.m.-noon at Rose Hill Cemetery.
